Having attended Loyola Marymount University originally for pre-med and kinesiology, she transferred to Oregon State University Cascades to pursue her passion of psychology. After navigating through personal challenges including trauma, addiction, and mental health issues during her early college years, she pursued support and professional treatment. Through her journey of self-discovery and profound transformation, she emerged with newfound resilience and confidence. Despite the obstacles, she achieved academic excellence, graduating with top honors and earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is extremely passionate about her work at River Bend Recovery, utilizing both her personal experience as well as knowledge and skills gained through her training. Maddie loves working with women in recovery to both empower women in their self growth and offer emotional support as she knows personally how difficult it can be for some to take action and enact change in their lives. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds peace and joy in the great outdoors. Having grown up immersed in the world of ski racing and backcountry skiing, she cultivated a deep passion for adventure and exploration. Her love for the mountains led her to co-found the Oregon State University Alpine Ski Team, where she thrived as an athlete, earning the runner-up position at Nationals for two consecutive years.
